  1. I dont really go to the clubs often, but I know the Bay is pretty good for music, it has different events every week- different music and quite alot of live acts.  Dont know if it can be classed as a club though.

Yokos is the run of the mill mainstream town club.

Theres usually some good events up at the Arts Centre or the Student union on Penglais hill.. Infact Im sure DJ Yoda played there a couple of weeks ago!

    i've seen yoda. he's a a bit of a git

  2. I used to live in manchester, would be great if i still did because i go to all my gigs there...however I wouldn't have gone to any gigs because if i hadn't had moved then I wouldn't have found music...so it's a no win situation

why did you have to move to find music?

  3. Yep, that's the bunny

Similar to MDH (Academy 2) but longer with a balcony .... after thinking about it, if the whole back of the refectory is opened up (it's partitioned) it's probably got a much bigger capacity, maybe like that of Academy 1 ?

    photograph from the rear balcony....

    Cheers for that.

  4. Spoilt by small venues - yes, I agree, but It was the bigger venue I was on about really. Why do bands do Sheffield or Manchester but miss out on Leeds? Answer: Becuase for most medium to big bands there is nowhere for them to perform.  When's the last time Elland Road put on something? Or Roundhay Park?

We need a permanent inside venue that is suitbale for a variety of purposes - not just music. Leeds is always harping on about how it's cutting edge, prosperous, growing etc etc - but a big event venue is a glaring omission.

I thought Leeds was getting an arena? I heard that a couple of years back. There was talk about them having an ice hockey team playing in it.
