Even though it's a very minor issue I thought I'd let you know.
On the page where you add a reply the links in the Quick Access panel break out the box layout a bit. I'm using Google Chrome.

I'm from the West Midlands and agree with scratchy on those venues. All pretty decent.

Heya I'm actually from near Kidderminster, which is a 40min train ride away.
It says your from the USA though so are we on about the same Birmingham in the UK?
-
If you didn't know already the current venue for the O2 Academy Birmingham is being demolished.
From the end of September, the new venue will be to the former Dome nightclub premises in Bristol Street.

Bristol Academy isn't too bad, but I can relate to what discofishgogrrr is saying. My local is Birmingham Academy though, which I prefer..

last.fm is a great way to discover new music.
The vast database of individual band pages include Top Tracks, Top Albums, User Comments, Events, Similar Artists and much more.
I'm sure you have seen this site before, but I feel it's relevant to this topic anyway.

In Flames blew me away. They played an awesome set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30035436@N08/2899622546/

Underoath is now sold out and I didn't get chance to get my tickets!! They should have been booked for a larger venue.
Got my In Flames tickets though and can't wait.

Two of my favourite bands are playing in September :] Anyone going?
Underoath - 8th Sept - Carling Academy Birmingham
In Flames - 28th Sept - Carling Academy Birmingham

I do like the Carling Academy venues for gigs but give a me a small dingy non-commercial rock place any day.
-
The Subculture club nights can be pretty fun at this place as well.
Shame there isn't enough good alt venues in Bham.

The Academy is great. Gotta be near the front and middle though! Last gig was Silverstein
Cardiff Barfly :(

Anyone miss it as it closed fairly recently. I went to some great gigs at this small venue!
