Leona Lewis announces first ever UK tour

tickets on sale a week tomorrow

news: Thursday 12th November 2009

Leona Lewis has announced a full UK Arena tour for May and June 2010.

The 24-year-old singer's tour will take in nine shows including two nights at London's O2 Arena. Daily newspaper The Sun reports that Lewis is planning for the shows to be dark and ethereal. She says, "I've been to see a lot of live shows over the past two years to get ideas. My favourite artists are Beyonce, Kings of Leon and Kanye West. I loved Beyonce's show so much I've been back a few times. But my show will be very different – dark and ethereal. I have taken lots of inspiration from Labyrinth, loads of masks and costumes. I do like a stark performance."

Lewis' announced tour dates are as Follows:
Fri 28 May Sheffield Arena, Sheffield
Mon 31 May Liverpool Echo Arena, Liverpool
Wed 02 June Trent FM Arena, Nottingham
Fri 04 June MEN Arena, Manchester
Tue 08 June LG Arena, Birmingham
Sat 12 June O2 Arena, London
Mon 14 June O2 Arena, London
Sun 20 June SECC, Glasgow
Thu 24 June Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle upon Tyne

Tickets for the shows will go on sale next Friday, 27th November at 9am and eGigs will have links to buy tickets then.
