Spandau Ballet announce reunion tour

tickets on sale this Saturday

news: Thursday 26th March 2009

All five original members of Spandau Ballet have got back together after a 20 year hiatus for a reunion tour.

The 80s' pop group will play a total of six venues in the UK before calling at concert capitals around the world.

Spandau Ballet, who are famous for such hits as 'Gold, 'True', 'To Cut A Long Story Short', and 'Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)', split acrimoniously in 1989. Relations between the band members continued to sour during the nineties in a dispute over song writing royalties.

But the band have put their differences behind them as they announced their reformation on HMS Belfast in London. With 25 million record sales, 6 multi platinum albums and 23 hit singles to choose from their sets are sure to be memorable for fans.

Their tour dates are as follows:
Fri 16 October Sheffield Arena, Sheffield
Sat 17 October SECC & Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow
Tue 20 October O2 Arena, London
Sat 24 October LG Arena, Birmingham
Mon 26 October Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle upon Tyne
Wed 28 October MEN Arena, Manchester

Tickets for the tour will go on sale on Saturday, 28th March at 9am, and eGigs will have links for you to buy them then.
