This place is absolutely awesome. Its a fantastically designed place, and their club nights are unbelievably good, they have a strict no ned policy making it the best place on Sauchiehall Street.

And its got the worlds largest revolving disco ball!!!

The Glasgow Barrowlands Ballroom is set to close, as the company which stages gigs there is putting them on elsewhere and its kind of falling to pieces.

It was the best venue in glasgow (although king tuts is great too before scott yells at me).

So now I'll have to go to the academy instead.

I love the Barrowlands, but I do like King Tuts too. I've not made it to a gig at the carling academy yet, so I can't comment.

What a load of shit, last year I went to the Edinburgh 'celebrations' and they cancelled the concrt and then the street party at about 11pm! Because it was raining... I would have thought to at least expect that.

Yeah, King Tuts is great, its just like a mini version of the barrowlands, the SECC just has no soul.

I have not been to the Acadamy - but you could call them to find out what times bands finish, 10pm does seen too early...

I've not been there for a while, but when I saw pulp there they didn't start till after 10 and went on till about midnight at least so I can't understand that.
