  1. Festival of music, dance, comedy, literature and more!

The Beverley and East Riding Folk Festival is set in the historic market town of Beverley, nestled in the stunning East Riding of Yorkshire making it a wonderfully exciting place to be in June every year.

Many of the events take place at ‘The Festival Village’ green field site situated in the grounds of the Leisure Complex, in the shadow of the historic Beverley Minister.

Now entering its 26th year, the Festival will be bigger than before with the addition of more marquees and will be offering a weekend of activities for all ages, ranging from a fantastic array of craft, food and music stalls, Family and Youth events, workshops and children’s events plus non-stop performances at the Late Night Festival Club. The Wold Top Festival Bar will once again be serving the famous Beverley Festival Brew.

A great place to spend a day – where anyone can come and take part or just relax and soak up the atmosphere.

With a variety of international artists performing music, dance and comedy, highlights this year include:

The Opening Concert on Friday 19th June, featuring Billy Bragg, Paul Liddell, Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow.

Also on the Friday will be a special Americana Concert, featuring The Coal Porters, Jeni & Billy and Bruce Molsky.

Saturday 20th June sees Tanglefoot performing as part of their last ever tour.

Celebrate on Saturday at the Festival Mid-Summer Party Night with Celtic dance leaders, The Peatbog Faeries, the legendary Lonnie Donegan Band feat Peter Donegan and the UK’s only acoustic Ska Band, Skavolotuion.

The Festival Finale on Sunday 21st June will feature Seth Lakeman, Henry Priestman and The Anna Massie Band.

As the festival moves towards a more sustainable future, recycling points will be situated around the ‘Festival Village’ and campers will be asked to move their vehicles to a free car park located just off site.
