Paul Woolford is an artist who pushes the boundaries, not stay within them. He has developed a unique sound that sets his studio productions aside from the crowd and it’s no exaggeration to say that Woolford is up-there amongst some of the most original producers in electronic music right now. On top of a prolific studio output, Paul’s DJ diary is packed out with dates booked around the globe and he has built a name for himself amongst the very best. In fact, after his set to a 20,000 strong crowd at Serbia’s Exit festival this summer Danny Tenaglia gave him the accolade of being his “new favourite DJ”. This rendered Woolford speechless. In the last two years he has gone on to become a key resident at We Love Space in Ibiza, and is ready for his third in 2008.

In between his residencies at the summer's best clubbing spot and Ministry of Sound’s Club Class he makes regular appearances at other major club nights such as Fabric, Pacha in Buenos Aires, Chicago’s Smart Bar, Peter Pan in Rimini and Tokyo’s famous Womb club. He’s also a regular feature on the festival circuit with recent appearances at Creamfields (UK & Buenos Aires), Berlin’s Love Parade and joined Deepdish on their Global Underground album tour of North America last year.

Massively passionate about making music, Woolford dedicates hours to production time and has proved that he has the ability to actually create a genre-defining sound. An example of this talent was twisted monster Erotic Discourse last year, which became our biggest hit to date selling over 10,000 copies, capturing the imagination of DJs across the board with support from The Chemical Brothers, Richie Hawtin and DJ Hell to Francois Kevorkian, Trevor Jackson, and Erol Alkan.

For years, Steve was learning his craft playing all around the UK, and gaining himself a solid reputation, including many residencies in his beloved home town of Liverpool and by the time he was in his mid 20's, he started a night called alderaan, in a room above a pub (the infamous Lemon Lounge) and brought Howells, Burridge, Pappa, Zabeila, Parks & Wilson, Fortier, Slacker, Quivver, Cass, Moonface (all rising starts at the time) to come and play - after they had played alderaan, they all begged to return to play again.. and they all did... many times!

He moved into production and collaborated with Evolution to produce 'Jawa', a tribal edged progressive belter that was heavily supported by Howells, Kleinenberg, Maas, Saeed & Palash, Pappa and the rest of the progressive mafia and it featured on 4 compilation Cd's. Steve is back in the studio working on several productions, nearing completetion in the not too distant future.

Juice FM, Liverpool for the last 5 years have employed Steve to host a weekly radio show called 'The Red Zone', were Steve plays his hottest upfront tunes, and features the Worlds premier league DJ's as guests. You name them, they've been on his show!

For the last 10 years Steve was manager of the World famous 3 Beat records in Liverpool, with its vast mail order department and servicing the worlds premier DJs from Digweed, Sasha, Jules, Tong, Warren, Maas, Seaman, Oakenfold, Pappa & Howells & to Sneak and Graeme Park. Steve liased with the DJ's to help them find those 'special tunes' to the DJ's on top of their game, plus also was label manager at 3 Beat Digital

His recent '3 beat label management (in House MIx)' sold well accross Europe, thrusting Steve's name further onto the International stage, proving that as an adaptable music lover, and just as at home playing chill out tracks at a sunset to playing cool house sets or a banging peak time warehouse set.

Nowdays, with Such legendary gigs under his belt as Cream & Creamfileds, Bedrock, Renaissance, Circus, Global Underground Parties, The Warehouse Project, Essential Mix parties, Shindig, The Zurich Street parade (to 1.1 Million people!) and Shelly's plus cool events including being the only Dj to have played at the Tate Gallery Liverpool, and delivering not one but two mixes for Digweeds Transitions Global Transitions show, and with counties he's played at including Russia, Taiwan, Costa Rica, Norway,Finland, France, Greece, Denmark, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and Mexico, Steve is riding the crest of the wave that is his own sucess.

Support comes from the outstanding Steve Parker resident at Scarboroughs Dirty Nights and one of Reflects favourites Rob Baylis.
