I can't add links on my signature either
I've decided (for the moment at least) to not allow links in signatures.

i don't know if its a bug in the software or it is meant to do it, but i have tried to reply to a post and it defaults to quoting the members post.
eh? I don't understand what you're saying exactly.

although this is the release version of this new version of the forums, it appears to still have a few bugs, and that's perhaps one of them.
When I get time, I'll look into it.

welcome to eGigs.co.uk - a new musical expression
Over the next couple of weeks the whole website will be brought online, allowing you to find out where your favourite bands are playing, or who's on at your favourite/local venue, you can of course buy tickets, plus much more.
Meanwhile, you can help this site get started. The database of venues needs to be built up, to be a complete list of UK venues. So, if you'd like to help us by submitting details of any venues, then you can do that here.

I've added just a "favourites" forum to the bands bit for the moment, and we'll see how things go from there.

How about a more general music forum for thing pertaining to music but not-neccessarily band specific, e.g.
Industry news, music accessories [players, file formats...], gossip, chart stuff [is the new downloads chart a marketing excercise or is it more valid nowadays than hard copy music purchases?] - that kinda thing.

Changing Signature
in Website wishlist & problems

right, I've discovered that the two problems above were related, and both controlled by the same setting.
So I've now enabled the (forums only) coding options (but not HTML), so links and colours will now both work in sigs.
