Orbital to tour in April

new album coming soon too

news: Tuesday 25th October 2011

British electronica icons Orbital return with their first new album in eight years and a landmark concert at London's Royal Albert Hall, plus other dates in April 2012.

The as yet untitled new album claims to put a contemporary spin on the duo's signature work, standing outside of pop fashion while still acknowledging current developments in dance music, and is being mixed by producer Mark "Flood" Ellis.

"It is a kaleidoscope of everything we like about electronic music," says Paul Hartnoll. "But the biggest influence on this album has been two years of playing live, listening to old Orbital music. We wanted to make music that we would like to play live. It had to flow and ebb like a live set."

The live dates are as follow:-
5 Apr: Manchester Academy - (19:30-23.00) £24.00
6 Apr: Leeds O2 Academy - (19:00–23.00) £24.00
7 Apr: Glasgow O2 ABC - (19.00-23.00) £24
8 Apr: Liverpool O2 Academy - (19:00–23.00) £24
