The good thing with Quo, is that you know that when you purchase tickets for their performance you are guaranteed a great show, and they certainly delivered that guarantee at Nottingham Arena.
The nights proceedings were kicked off with Caroline, which hit the mark with the loyal Quo fans. There was no real change in the stage set up either, the famous backline of Marshall amplifiers dominated the stage whilst Rick And Francis confidently bounced, jumped, and walked across the stage to make sure every one in the audience felt included in this performance.
One criticism that is unavoidable with any Quo gig, and it is more of a minor downside, is that with such vast back catalogue of songs, it is quite obvious that they arent going to be able to play all their crowd favourites, although saying that they do try to cater for new, old, young, and loyal fans.
Most of the classics were squeezed into the set list; In The Army Now, Down Down, Rockin All Over The World, and naturally the epic Whatever You Want, with the full guitar intro.
The more recent material such as All Stand Up, and Creepin Up On you seemed to be lapped up by the not so young audience. Which is rare to see, as usually most audiences are just waiting for the big hits, however Quo fans seem to love every song that is played at the live shows.
Theres not much more to be said, after 41 years together- Status Quo can easily talk the talk and walk the walk- very few bands are this good live!!!
