Nickelback

Chad and crew decided to come and demonstrate that they are able to pull off intimate shows in small venues. They did this with awesome ferocity leaving no doubt when it comes to live shows Nickelback are untouchable.

In the past they have toured arenas and stadiums, and it would be a fair comment to say that they would be able to do the same this year. Instead they decided to play just several shows in small venues. For the fans that were lucky enough to obtain tickets, it was pretty obvious that the chances of Nickelback playing these small venues ever again are virtually non-existent.

Nickelback

Nickelback arrived on stage amidst bomb blasts and pyrotechnic explosions, whilst playing 'Flat on the Floor'. From the very beginning of their show, you could see that they like to put on an extravaganza rather than just a normal show. Sadly this sometimes distracts you from their music, and it would been nice to see them play just a minimalist show with no special effects, just the band and their instruments.

However there did seem to be a few sound difficulties, especially during 'Hero', it was really difficult to hear the acoustic guitars as the sound was so distorted. Despite this, the band played all the crowd favourites such as Too Bad', 'Someday', and 'Never Again' ... and the audience lapped it up.

Nickelback

The show was one of the most enjoyable shows I had seen, with the time just flying by, and I was shocked when they played 'how You Remind Me' to discover that they had actually been on stage for over one hour and fifteen minutes. Yet to me it seemed as if they had been on for only a few minutes, something that always happens when you enjoy the music this much.
