Hawkwind at Doune The Rabbit Hole 2019

Celebrating their 50th Anniversary, Hawkwind embark on a nationwide tour this November, culminating at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on November 26th. This year has already seen the band headline the acoustic stage at Glastonbury, as well as headline a host of other UK and European festivals, including their own Hawkeaster. The tour will showcase their most recent release, "All Aboard the Skylight", the third album in an informal trilogy that includes their conceptual Top 40 charting album The Machine Stops from 2016 and last year’s Into The Woods.

Musically the solid quartet of Dave Brock (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Richard Chadwick (drums), Niall Hone (bass, keyboards) and Magnus Martin (guitar, vocals) have created a tight, psychedelic groove that runs through the spine of the album. In addition, ex-PiL bassist Jah Wobble will be joining the band at their London and Manchester shows, and Motörhead’s Phil Campbell will be guesting at the band’s Cardiff and London shows. The tour aims to demonstrate that the band is still a force to be reckoned with, while also acknowledging fifty years of musical development, and the roles played by the extraordinary roster of talent that has been part of the band over the years.
