Drummer Coghlan left the group in late 1981, and his drumming can be heard on classic Quo songs such as 'Caroline', 'Down Down', 'Rockin' All Over the World' and 'Whatever You Want'. Parfitt joined Rossi, Lancaster, Coghlan and Roy Lynes to form the classic Quo line-up in 1967. Keyboardist Lynes is not part of the reformed band, and no keyboard player has been announced for the gigs, just as it was when the 'Frantic Four' toured from 1971 to 1976.
Francis Rossi said, "Playing together again after all those years was amazing. It wasn't perfect, I guess I always strive for that, but the chemistry was there and the crowds were just incredible. These new dates are an opportunity to kick it up a notch and to get the gang back together for one final blast." Rick added, "We wanted one last go at this, and the setlist will see some changes. Well play some of the material that was aired in March, plus also some more of those early hits."
