Franz Ferdinand announced March tour

Having just played two low-key shows at Glasgow's QMU and The Electric in Brixton, London, Franz Ferdinand have announced details of a full UK tour in 2014.

The band are set to drop a Halloween themed new single, 'Evil Eye', on Monday the 28th of October 2013 from their fourth studio album 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action released last month.

The single is available as a one-track download and is accompanied by a video very much inspired the 'horror theme' of the song title, or in frontman Alex's words, "The video is a gruesome blood orgy eye stab death romp wide-oh creep necro fest, play this on the telly if you dare you fuckers."

The band will play the following dates:

Tue 18 March O2 Academy, Bristol
Wed 19 March Guildhall, Southampton
Fri 21 March O2 Academy, Birmingham
Sat 22 March O2 Academy, Manchester
Sun 23 March Olympia, Dublin
Tue 25 March Barrowlands, Glasgow
Wed 26 March O2 Academy, Leeds
Thu 27 March O2 Academy, Newcastle upon Tyne

Tickets for the shows are priced at £22.50 (except London where they are £25) and are available from 9am on Friday 13th September 2013, and eGigs will have links to buy them then.
