Paul McCartney to open Teenage Cancer Trust gigs

Paul McCartney has been added to the line-up to the Teenage Cancer Trust and will give a very special performance on Thursday, March 29th 2012 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Yesterday Jessie J, Florence + the Machine, Example, the Teenage Cancer Trust Outstanding Contribution To Music NME Award winners, Pulp and funny man Jason Manford plus special guests will also beheadlining the comedy evening. Support acts will be announced soon.

The TCT gigs were the brainchild of The Who's Roger Daltrey CBE, patron and curator of Teenage Cancer Trust, who has once again persuaded the best of British talent available across the rock, and pop to give up their time to raise money for this unique charity.

The gigs Teenage Cancer Trust have over the last 11 years raised over £14 million for the Teenage Cancer Trust, with all funds going towards building specialist cancer units in NHS hospitals.

The 2012 Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall line-up is as follows:

Sun 01 April - Jessie J Mon 02 April – Comedy night: Jason Manford

Tickets will go on sale from 9.30am on Friday 24th February priced at £25, and eGigs will have links to buy them then.
