news: Friday 17th February 2012

Keane have announced they will be doing a UK tour, with dates beginning in May 2012. This will be their first UK tour in three years, the last of which culminated in two sold out O2 Arena shows.

On finishing the recording of the new album in February Keane announced two special shows at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, a location close to their hearts as it was both their teenage haunt and near to where the album was recorded. They announced the dates in the local paper only and within 5 minutes they were sold out. This will be the first time fans will hear new material.

The Sussex band have been working on their as yet untitled fourth album for the last two years and are set to release the follow up to 2008's 'Perfect Symmetry' later this year.

The band are now a four piece, new member Jesse Quin, who collaborated with Rice-Oxley on Mt. Desolation, plays bass and has been playing live with the band since the release of 'Perfect Symmetry'.

The band will play the following tour dates below:

Wed 23 May O2 Academy, Newcastle upon Tyne
Thu 24 May O2 Academy, Glasgow
Fri 25 May O2 Academy, Birmingham
Tue 29 May O2 Academy, Leeds
Wed 30 May O2 Apollo, Manchester
Mon 04 June Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone
Tue 05 June O2 Academy, Bristol
Wed 06 June De Montfort Hall, Leicester
