Coldplay's Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland added to Mencap's Little Noise Sessions

Coldplay's Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland have been announced as headliners of Thursday 24 November's Mencap's Little Noise Sessions which this year is held at a new home at St.John-at-Hackney from Tuesday 22nd until Sunday ­27th November 2011.

Also added to the bill for that day are Ben Howard, Emile Sande, Michael Kiwanuka, and Bebe Black with Ren Harvieu added to the Tuesday line-up.

Tickets for the Thursday session will go on sale at 9am on Monday 7th November, priced at £50. Due to unprecedented demand additional tickets are also available for Elbow, Goldfrapp & Example.

Hosted and curated by Jo Whiley, the new additions are added to a line-up which includes headliners Elbow, Example, Marina & The Diamonds, Goldfrapp and Sinead O'Connor.

Mencap ambassador Jo Whiley said, "We are delighted to welcome the return of Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland to headline an extra special night for Mencap's Little Noise Sessions. With a week of unbelievable shows, this year is set to be one of the most exciting and inspiring we've had to date. I can't wait!"

Chris Martin added, "Jo does amazing work for Mencap, we are thrilled she asked us to play and are honoured to be part of this special night."

Also set to perform are Ed Sheeran, Maverick Sabre, Fenech Soler, King Creosote, Icona Pop, Spark, Alpines, and Birdy.

Now in their 6th year, Mencap's Little Noise Sessions take world-class bands out of their comfort zone to present a rawer, purer sound meaning the crowd get to witness something very special each night.

There are 1.5 million people with a learning disability in the UK, who are among the most excluded and disadvantaged people in our society. Money raised at Mencap's Little Noise Sessions will go to Mencap arts awards projects to help people with a learning disability. Mencap directly supports people with a learning disability to live their lives as they choose and challenge prejudice.
