Death Cab for Cutie have announced they will be playing three headline shows in Manchester, Nottingham and and London in July.

Making their first live return to the UK since 2008, the band have already announced that they will be playing the Hop Farm Festival on 1 July followed by a main support slot on the Foo Fighters show at Milton Keynes Bowl on 2 July.

The tour will be in support of the release of their new album, 'Codes And Keys' set for release on Monday 30th May through Atlantic Records. The debut single from the album, 'You Are A Tourist' will be released on Monday 16th May.

Death Cab for Cutie made their Atlantic Records debut in 2005 with their fifth studio release, 'Plans'. The album proved the critically celebrated band's commercial breakthrough, earning platinum-certification as well as spawning two gold-certified singles in 'Soul Meets Body' and 'I Will Follow You Into The Dark'.

The new UK headline shows are:
Mon 04 July O2 Academy, Manchester
Tue 05 July Rock City, Nottingham
Thu 07 July Brixton Academy, London
