New To Q Sessions line-up announced for January

Funeral Party, Clare Maguire, Noah & The Whale, Egyptian Hip Hop, The Pierces, + more

Q Magazine have announced the acts who will take part in their the second annual series New To Q Sessions.

The five Sessions live shows, which will take place from Monday 24th to Friday 28th January 2011 at Bush Hall, Shepherd's Bush, in London.

Funeral Party headline the opening night with Kid Adrift, and Liz Lawrence also on the bill. Tuesday will see Primary 1, and Liam Bailey open for headliner Clare Maguire.

Noah And The Whale are set to play on Wednesday topping a line-up of Ben Howard, and Alice Gold.

Playing on 27th January will be Egyptian Hip Hop and Dutch Uncles. Closing the sessions on Friday will be The Pierces, Murray James, and David's Lyre.

Q's Editor-In-Chief, Paul Rees commented, "I said last year that one of Q's foremost aims moving forward was to become very actively involved in championing and staging the best new music. I'm delighted that we are now very much on the way to establishing the New To Q Sessions as an important fixture on the music calendar – and that this year's outstanding line-up will bring an array of great music for the Q audience to discover."

Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 12th November and eGigs will have links to buy them then.
