acts revealed for Bestival's London show

Time Machine at KOKO - Sat 20th March

news: Tuesday 23rd February 2010

Bestival: Time Machine is the exclusive London outing of the well known festival at Camden's Koko on Saturday 20th March and promising a festival flavoured night of fun for all.

The event will offer live music from a very special guest to be announced plus a performance from BBC Radio 1's Alex Metric playing live, funk and comedy from The Cuban Brothers, swing-hop from The Correspondents, teen-scene queen Charli XCX, Sunday Best's own David E Sugar performing with a full live band and DJ action from Bestival's own Rob da Bank and Sombrero Sound System.

The event brings all the best loved elements of the Robin Hill and Lulworth Castle events to the heart of London. Bestival: Time Machine offers the chance chance to break out those fancy dress costumes to celebrate all the fancy dress themes from Bestival's Past, including Cowboys & Indians, Circus, Pirates, Under The Sea and Outer Space themes.

As well as fancy dress there's also chance to step into the golden age of the silver screen with Time For Tease, offering burlesque tributes to some movie legends with a soundtrack to match! From Charlie Chaplin to Marilyn Monroe and Doris Day the stars will be out in force at Koko and there will be free popcorn all night!

Bestival resident funsters Lost & Found will also be in attendance offering madcap games from binocular football to naked jujutsu, disco dancing competition and welly boot eating contests...to name but a few of the hi jinks planned.

The Big Love Inflatable Church will also be brought to the event, offering naughty nuptials and matrimonial madness. The Dressing Up Shop will be on-hand to cater for those feeling under-dressed or to add an extra bit of sparkle to any ensemble. Time Machine will be offering five Kigu outfits to the first five people through the door on the night!

Tickets for the event which starts at 9pm and finishes at 3am are priced at £12 if bought in advance, or £15 (£12 NUS) on the door. To buy tickets online, click here.
