news: Tuesday 2nd February 2010

The Charlatans have announced they will perform a 'Some Friendly' retrospective at The Roundhouse, London on Monday 31st May 2010.

To coincide with the 20th anniversary of The Charlatans' debut album 'Some Friendly', the band will play the record, in full. Revisiting chart successes and cult classics from the set that will include 'The Only One I Know', 'Sproston Green', 'Then' and more, the anticipated event will herald a reissued, expanded version of 'Some Friendly'. The support act will be announced shortly.

Currently holed up in the studio with producer Youth (The Verve, Primal Scream, Killing Joke, Crowded House), The Charlatans will deliver their eleventh, as yet untitled studio album this June.

Taking five minutes out, frontman Tim Burgess said, "We're all really looking forward the show. It's the first time we've played all the tracks from 'Some Friendly' in a set since the year it was released. It will be a great night."

Tickets for the show will be priced at £25, will go on sale at 9am on Friday 5th February, and eGigs will have links to buy them then.
