tickets on sale on Friday

news: Monday 14th December 2009

Dance music star Deadmau5 is confirmed to take over O2 Academy Brixton for a special live performance on Friday 30th April 2010.

In 2008, the relatively unknown Deadmau5 became the highest new entry in the DJ Top 100 Poll, jump forward a year and following 2 hit singles, a sell out show at London's Roundhouse Theatre and festival appearances at Reading, Leeds and Creamfields festivals, the mau5 has climbed the ranks even further sitting pretty at No.6.

Canadian born Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 sports his infamous 'mau5head' during sets consisting mainly of his own material, where he assembles tracks on the fly, using cutting edge computer technology, including software he's helped develop himself.

The Brixton debut live performance will coincide with the May 2010 release of his first artiste album. The event will feature exclusive cutting edge production, video and lighting systems. It will also include, seen for the first time in the UK the new L.E.D mau5head!

Commenting on his forthcoming event the mau5 said, "I'm looking forward to my UK return, let's have it :-)."

Tickets will go on general sale at 9am this Friday 18th December priced at £26.50, and eGigs will have links to buy them then.
