Dyslexia Awareness gig with Doves, The Twang, Badly Drawn Boy plus guests

Members of Doves, The Twang, Badly Drawn Boy, Dave Haslam, The Hayle Faye Band, and Terry Christian, have all got together for Dyslexia Awareness to play a gig on Friday 27th November 2009, at The Ritz, in Manchester.

Doves Andy and Jez Williams are to play a headline DJ set, with other headliner DJ sets from The Twang's Phil Etheridge, and Dave Haslam (Xfm/Hascienda).

There will also be live performances from, Badly Drawn Boy and The Hayley Faye Band, with Terry Christian comparing for the night, plus a few special guests are to take part in this music event being held in aid of dyslexia awareness.

Any profits from the music events will go to active dyslexia charities. The main one being the Dyslexia Action's Bursary Fund, which provides disadvantaged children and young adults with free dyslexia assessments and training, which also enables them to access further support while at school, which they would not receive unless diagnosed with dyslexia.

The event starts at 7pm and goes on until 4am, tickets are priced at £10 in advance, £12 on the door or £4 after 11pm depending on availability. To buy tickets, click here.
