Take That, Muse, Sir Paul McCartney, Dizzee Rascal, Paolo Nutini, Mika, Snow Patrol, Leona Lewis, Dame Shirley Bassey, Katherine Jenkins, Cheryl Cole, and Lily Allen have been announced for a massive concert for Children In Need, the BBC have confirmed.

The line-up for Children In Need Rocks at London's Royal Albert Hall was revealed this morning on Radio 1. Take That singer/songwriter Gary Barlow was expected to make the announcement but was forced to cancel due to a family bereavement. Barlow said in a statement: "It's fantastic to be able to kick off BBC Children In Need 2009 in such a special way. I've always wanted to do something like this and I can promise a night to remember, a night that will, I hope, play a small part in changing the lives of disadvantaged children across the UK."

The event will be hosted by Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles with Peter Kay, Fearne Cotton, James Corden, and Sir Terry Wogan also appearing on the night.

The concert will take place on Thursday 12th November, as part of a week of Children In Need-related events and will be broadcast on the BBC.

To have a chance to buy a maximum of two tickets, fans must register their details by clicking here before noon on Tuesday 20th October.

Successful applicants, drawn through a random ballot happening on Tuesday 20th October, will be notified the following day by email. Tickets for the concert will be priced from £50 to £100.
