Alice In Chains announce first full UK tour for 16 years

around the UK in November

news: Monday 14th September 2009

Seattle rock legends Alice In Chains have announced their first full UK tour since 1993.

As one of the most influential and instantly recognisable rock acts of the 90s, selling over 17 million albums worldwide, the tragic passing of original vocalist Layne Staley (RIP) in 2002 cast doubt over the future of the band. After founding members Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez and Sean Kinney reunited in 2005 for a benefit show, the band eventually made the decision to continue with new vocalist William DuVall, and in 2008 announced plans for a new album - their first in 14 years.

That work - "Black Gives Way To Blue" - is set for release on September 28th, and the UK tour follows in November, promising to be unmissable for fans both old and new.

The tour dates are as follows:-
Thu 12th Nov: Glasgow, Barrowlands
Fri 13th Nov: Birmingham, O2 Academy
Sat 14th Nov: Manchester, Academy
Mon 16th Nov: London, HMV Forum
Tue 17th Nov: London, HMV Forum

Tickets on Sale from 9am Friday 18th September. We'll have links to buy when on sale.
