Big Wheel Sundays line-up of Sunday concerts announced

The Big Wheel Sundays of summer season concerts at the Open Air Theatre in London's Regent's Park return with a string of Sunday events this August.

Held at the oldest outdoor theatre in Britain which has been presenting Shakespeare plays for the past 75 years. Big Wheel Sundays are now a regular feature at The Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.

Big Wheel Sundays, now in its 3rd sell out year, take place on the Sundays between the 16th and 30th of August, and plays host to British Sea Power, Alabama 3 unplugged and Tunng.

The first of this year's concerts happens on Sunday 16th August with British Sea Power and some very special guests no doubt sharing the stage with verdant foliage and possibly a ten-foot bear names Ursine Ultra makes an appearance. The following Sunday, 23rd August it's the turn of Alabama 3 Unplugged and their special guests. It will be a rare chance to catch the band doing an acoustic stripped down set of their addictive blend of country, gospel and delta blues with haunting harmonies and one-inch-punch lyrics. The final Sunday, 30th August sees Tunng bring their blend of finger picking guitars & electronic beats to the Open Air Theatre. Their guests will be Micachu, Beth Jeans Houghton, and 6 Day Riot. Tickets prices are Lower tier £25/Upper tier £20. To buy tickets, click here.

Gates open at 6pm allowing the crowds to laze around and picnic on the lawn, grab a cold drink from the outside bar or enjoy something sizzling from the BBQ, before checking out the evening's entertainment in this amphitheatre under a blanket of stars.
