Reverend and the Makers announce tour dates

Reverend and the Makers return with their first headlining tour of 2009 with 5 UK shows in July. This will be the first chance to hear new material from their forthcoming second album set for release in the summer.

The band have have been spending the end of last year and the start of 2009 recording their follow up to 2007's 'The State of Things' which spawned hits including 'Heavyweight Champion of the World' and 'He Said He Loved Me'.

The shows will run alongside the five summer super gigs with Oasis which the band were specially invited to play. Lead singer Jon McClure (The Reverend) has also spent time since the last album getting involved with various projects including political forum Instigate Debate and the indie/hip-hop group Mongrel.

The bands tour dates are as follows:
Wed 08 July Koko, London
Tue 14 July O2 Academy 2, Birmingham
Wed 15 July Academy 2, Manchester
Thu 16 July ABC, Glasgow
Sat 18 July O2 Academy, Sheffield

Tickets will be priced from £10 to £12.50 and go on sale tomorrow, 20th March 2009. eGigs will have links for you to buy them then.
