tickets available now

news: Wednesday 18th February 2009

Soul singer Joss Stone is to play two intimate dates in the South West this weekend. The 21-year-old R&B singer-songwriter and actress will play the Medieval Great Hall, in Dartington, South Devon on Friday 20th February and then Bristol's Thekla on Sunday 22nd February.

Joss says on a statement on her official website, "I've decided to go play some shows at home. Come along, we'll have a laugh. I'll be playing my new songs from the album yet to be released 'Colour Me Free'. I'm excited to see how everyone likes it... I have a feeling we are going to have a real good time together on these shows and if I am right we will probably do more at short notice."

She will also be playing the Oran Mor, Glasgow on Thursday 26th February 26th and The Picket, Liverpool on Saturday 28th February.

Born Jocelyn Stoker in April 1987, Joss emerged to fame in late 2003 with her multi-platinum debut album, 'The Soul Sessions', which made the 2004 Mercury Prize shortlist. Her second album, 'Mind, Body and Soul', topped the UK Albums Chart and included the top 10 hit 'You Had Me'. Her fourth studio album 'Colour Me Free', will be released in April, and was written and recorded in about a week, earlier this year, in Devon.
