Tunng and three members of Tinariwen came together earlier this year to record a session for BBC Radio 3's Late Junction. They recorded a fluid set with a sense of space and ease with fragments of vocals, and the languages, riffs and melodies weaving together effortlessly. The results of this collaboration are dur to be aired on Late Junction on Thursday 19th February 2009.
Six piece twisted folk-pop collective Tunng will be joined by Abdallah Ag Alhousseyni (guitar, vocals), Eyadou Ag Leche (guitars, bass guitar, vocals) and Said Ag Ayad (percussion, vocals) from the Southern Algerian one time soldier-musicians whose name comeds from "Kel Tinariwen" meaning 'desert boys'.
