The Black Crowes to play a one off show at O2 Academy Brixton

tickets on sale tomorrow

news: Thursday 29th January 2009

American blues-rockers The Black Crowes have announced that they will return to the UK to play a show at London's O2 Academy Brixton on Sunday 17th May. The gig was originally to happen at the HMV Forum, but due to unprecedented demand from fans, damn those pre-sale offers, the event has moved to the bigger Brixton venue.

The band found world wide fame in 1990 with their six million-selling album 'Shake Your Money Maker. Their mix of '70s inflected rock, funkadelic soul and heartfelt roots music infused hits such as 'Hard To Handle', 'Jealous Again', 'Twice As Hard', and 'Remedy'.

Their seventh studio album 'Warpaint' was released in March of last year, and was the first on the band's own Silver Arrow Records. The band announced their next album of original material will be recorded live in front of an audience in Woodstock, New York, over five nights in February and March of this year.

Tickets for this special one off show go on sale tomorrow at 9am, and eGigs will have links for you to buy them then.
