Alabama 3 return to Cardiff

and hand pick local support acts

news: Friday 28th November 2008

As a demonstration of their continued support for new music, one of the best touring bands around right now, Alabama 3 have agreed to taking a local support for their Sub 29, Cardiff gig on Monday 1st December.

The band's lead singer Larry Love went to the Sub 29 launch on 16th November to choose one of the 10 bands playing the night hosted by Tantrum Records. The Acts chosen were The Phyisicists, an all girl cardiff punk band and Dan Dunne And The Reels who hail from Porthcawl and attended the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

The band, with their mix of rock, blues, gospel and dance music, may well be best known for their song, 'Woke Up This Morning', which rose to international prominence as the theme to the hit TV show, The Sopranos, but there's much to this band than just that one song.

Their fusion of styles, bizarre on-stage personas, their crazy sense of humour and winning, anthemic tunes have led to this band being known for outrageous and incredibly entertaining live shows. So much so that they are now coveted as one of the nation's best live acts.

Tickets for Alabama 3 at sub 29 are priced at £16, to buy tickets click here. For other Alabama tour dates click here.
