Sixties legends The Zombies announce final tour of their hit album

four dates in January playing Odessey & Oracle

news: Thursday 16th October 2008

One of the original Sixties 'British Invasion' bands The Zombies will perform their 1968 landmark album 'Odessey & Oracle' in its entirety for the very last time, at four shows during April next year.

These dates follow their three sold out concerts at the London Shepherd's Bush Empire, earlier this year, where The Zombies celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the album.

Colin Blunstone (vocals), Rod Argent (keyboards/vocals), Chris White (bass/vocals), and Hugh Grundy (drums) and Keith Airey, who regularly tours with the band, replacing the late Paul Atkinson on guitar will play 'Care of Cell 44', 'Maybe After He's Gone', 'Beechwood Park', 'Hung Up On A Dream', 'Time of the Season' and the show closer 'She's Not There'.

The first half of the concert will see the Zombies play a selection of their hits, as well as Colin Blunstone's solo material from his album, 'One Year'.

The Zombies are cited as major influences by musicians including Badly Drawn Boy, Paul Weller, Magic Numbers, Super Furry Animals, Billy Joel, and the Artic Monkeys.

Their April 2009 tour dates are as follows:
Tue 21 April ABC, Glasgow
Thu 23 April Colston Hall, Bristol
Fri 24 April Bridgewater Hall, Manchester
Sat 25 April Hammersmith Apollo, London

Tickets for all four concerts go on sale from 9am on Thursday 25th September and eGigs will have links to buy them then.
