The Hold Steady cancel entire UK tour

due to Tad Kubler being hospitalised with pancreatitis

American rockers The Hold Steady have cancelled their UK entire tour, which was due to start at Oxford Academy yesterday.

The gigs have had to be postponed because lead guitarist Tad Kubler has been diagnosed with pancreatitis and hospitalised by the illness. The Hold Steady were due to play eight shows across the country.

The remaining effected dates are:
Tue 30 September Manchester University, Manchester
Wed 01 October ABC, Glasgow
Thu 02 October Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton
Sat 04 October Anson Rooms, Bristol
Sun 05 October Rock City, Nottingham
Mon 06 October Pyramids Centre, Portsmouth
Wed 08 October Roundhouse Theatre, London

The band are expected to reschedule the shows and those ticket holders wanting refunds are being advised to contact their point of sale.
