Jarvis Cocker announces a short five date UK tour

as part of label Rough Trade's 'Looking Rough at 30' tour

Jarvis Cocker has announced a short five date UK tour which have been put on by his record label Rough Trade, and will feature fellow label-mates in support slots. Indie label Rough Trade Records clock up their 30th anniversary this year.

the singer also tenuously claims that his own music career has reached the big three zero claiming that the first incarnation of Pulp was dreamt up during an Economics class in October of 1978.

Jarvis is currently putting together his second solo album, and is expected to showcase the new material at the gigs.

Celebrating their mutual thirty years Jarvis will head up the 'Looking Rough at 30 tour, a celebration of Rough Trade lined up for this autumn. Jarvis and Rough Trade special guests will play the following dates:

Tue 25 November Carling Academy (Academy 1 & 2), Sheffield
Wed 26 November Shepherds Bush Empire, London
Fri 28 November The Picture House (formerly Gig), Edinburgh
Sun 30 November University (Academy 1, 2, 3 & 4), Manchester
Tue 02 December Carling Academy (Academy 1 & 2), Birmingham

Tickets will go on sale at 9:00am this Friday 12th September, and egigs will have links for you buy them then.
