album launch special gig at Proud Galleries, London

Folk-rock heroes the Levellers have planned an extra special intimate album launch in London to celebrate the release of their new album 'Letters From The Underground'.

The new album their first for almost four years, has been showcased at some of their recent live dates, and has all the hallmarks of being a classic. It has been produced by Sean Lakeman who the band met when touring with Sean's brother, Seth Lakeman.

'Letters From The Underground' was recorded in the Levellers own Metway studios in Brighton and mixed in New York by James Brown who has recently worked with NIN and Placebo, and is due for release on Monday August 11th 2008.

The special launch gig will be held in aid of the Big Issue. The band will be bringing their live show to Proud Galleries in London on Tuesday 22nd July and tickets are £12, to buy them, click here or telephone 0115 959 7908.
