Monaco reform for one off charity gig

news: Thursday 18th October 2007

Late nineties Mancunian group Monaco are set to reform for a special one off charity gig in Manchester at the end of this month.

The group consists of New Order's Peter Hook, and Dave Potts. They will play The Ritz on Sunday October 28th as part of the Oxjam series that are taking place all month long.

Speaking about the reunion, Hook said "I had a great time in Monaco and thought we’d written some top tunes. We’re basically having some fun for a very good cause. There’s a lot I take for granted in this world and I’m delighted to help other people in any way I can.

"I admire and respect Pottsy as a musician and a friend so I’ll play with him any chance I get. I haven’t played the Ritz since Rob Gretton’s memorial and am very much looking forward to performing there again.
