Bloc Party kick off UK tour

news: Saturday 14th April 2007

Bloc Party kicked off their UK tour last night with an outstanding set at Glasgow’s Carling Academy.

The band released their new single ‘I Still Remember’ this week, and treated a packed-out venue to a mixture of material taken from their debut album ‘Silent Alarm’, and this year’s much hyped follow up ‘A Weekend in the City’.

Bloc Party ended their extremely well received set with a three-song encore, rounding off their performance with an unforgettable version of ‘Helicopter’.

They will next stop off at Wolverhampton, before travelling onto Plymouth and Blackpool, then finally playing two dates down at London’s Brixton Academy.

Full tour details below:

Sun 15th Wolverhampton Civic Hall
Mon 16th Plymouth Pavilions
Wed 18th Blackpool Empress Ballroom
Thu 19th London Brixton Academy
Fri 20th London Brixton Academy

Tickets for the gigs are completely sold out.
