Crowded House reform

and could be coming to the UK

news: Tuesday 23rd January 2007

Hot on the heels of James' comeback announcement comes another late 80s/early 90s group.

Neil Finn's Crowded House have announced that they will be reforming. The band will join Rage Against the Machine (who are also reforming) at this year's Coachella festival in California.

It doesn't look like you will have to travel half way round the world to see them though. Plans for a world tour are well under way.

The last time the band played live was at the Sydney Opera House on November 26th, 1996. 100,000 onlookers watched the gig, which was organised to benefit the Sydney Children's Hospital Fund.

The band's original drummer Paul Hester committed suicide in 2005 and they are now holding auditions for a replacement.

New Zealand's Dominion Post reported that full details of the 12 month world tour, which will be happening this year, will be announced later this week. eGigs will of course bring you all the information on whether or not the band will play any UK gigs, as it's announced.
