news: Wednesday 10th January 2007

Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue has received a special award from Wembley Arena.

The award is to honour her place as one of the most successful female artists to ever perform at the venue.

Last night Kylie finished the last of a sold out seven night stint at the venue, and was joined on stage by sister Dannii for a rendition of her 2000 hit 'Kids' (penned by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers).

Kylie, who has recently recovered from breast cancer, played to a total of 79,000 fans. Her new CD and DVD ‘Showgirl: Homecoming Live In Sydney’ was also released on Monday (January 8th).
