Keane announce secret show

news: Wednesday 10th January 2007

Keane have announced a special show at a secret Camden venue on Monday January 22nd.

The gig will take place at 7pm in one of Camden's many venues. Some rumours have been circulating that the venue will be the Proud Gallery. However, it now looks almost definite that the gig will be held at Gibson Studios.

The purpose of the gig is to promote the band's new single A bad dream. If you don't know it then check out the video, which is dull even by Keane's standards. It's due out on the same day as the gig (22nd January) and they will be hoping to top their last single Nothing in my way, which was the first single to ever be released on the 'revolutionary' USB format. It spent just a week in the top 40, peeking at number 19.

The gig is being organised and recorded exclusively by Virgin Radio and is open to competition winners only.

The new single will be the fifth from last year's Under the Iron Sea, and will feature a b-side cover of The Cult's She Sells Sanctuary.

Keane are also touring the UK in February and March, including two dates at Wembley Arena. To buy tickets for this tour click here.
