The Rakes announce biggest ever tour

and new album

The Rakes have announced their biggest tour to date. The band will take in eleven venues across the UK and Ireland in support of their second album 'Ten New Messages' due for release in March 2007.

The album has been produced by Jim Abiss (Arctic Monkey’s, Editors, Kasabian) and Brendan Lynch (Primal Scream) and was recorded in Mayfair Studios, The Chapel, and West Point in London during the autumn of 2006.

Commenting on the album, singer Alan Donohoe said, ‘The album was inspired by a combination of choral music, the television show ‘24’, Bond theme tunes, World War 1 poets and the Sugababes’.

Tickets are priced at £12.50 and £14.50 for London. Tickets go on sale this Friday (15th December) at 9.00am.
