As well as making a suprise live performance, Jackson will be presented with the Chopard Diamond Award.
The singer has been working on the follow-up album to 2001's 'Invincible'. This will be his second public appearance at an awards show since his controversial trial in 2005.
Other acts confirmed to perform at the awards show (hosted by Lindsey Lohan) include Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Andrea Bocelli and Faithless, with more acts to be announced.
