new tour for Damon Albarn's new band

The Good, The Bad and the Queen

Blur frontman Damon Albarn has announced plans for his new band The Good, The Bad, and The Queen to tour the UK at the beginning of 2007.

The group, which was originally conceived as a 'project' instead of a band, consists of Albarn, The Clash's bassist Paul Simonon, former Verve member and Blur and Gorillaz guitarist Simon Tong, and Africa 70 drummer Tony Allen.

They recently performed at The BBC's Electric Proms, and their single 'Herculean' was released yesterday on CD and 7 inch vinyl.

The band will play the following dates:

Jan 27: Bristol Trinity
Jan 28: Southsea South Parade Pier
Jan 29: Leeds Irish Centre
Jan 30: Motherwell Civic Centre
Feb 01: Dudley JBS
Feb 02: London York Hall
Feb 03: Warrington Parr Hall
Feb 04: Aylesbury Civic Centre

Tickets go on sale on Friday November 3rd.
