Dolly Parton announces biggest European tour in over 30 years

American country singer/songwriter Dolly Parton has announced plans for a UK tour in March next year.

The tour will be part of an extended European tour (the first since the 70’s), where Dolly will play 18 shows in eight countries.

The singer is responsible for a string of number one US hits, including ‘9 to 5’, ‘Jolene’ (recently covered by The White Stripes), ‘But you know I love you’, and ‘Heartbreaker’.

She said: "I have loved performing since I was big enough to wrestle my little brothers and sisters into sitting long enough for me to sing my latest musical masterpiece.

"I just hope ya'll will come out and see this little girl from the hills of Tennessee walk out there on that big ole stage and make her dreams come true
."

21 Mar: Newcastle Metro Radio Arena
23 Mar: Glasgow Clyde Auditorium
24 Mar: Sheffield Hallam FM Arena
25 Mar: Wembley Arena
27 Mar: Cardiff International Arena
28 Mar: Birmingham NEC

Tickets go on sale on Friday 27th October.
