InMe

Rock City, Nottingham on Sat 23rd Jul 2005

Rock City was rammed to the rafters with student NME brain washed youngsters- all here to see what was rumoured to be the 'next big thing'. Admittedly that was a few years ago now, and since then they have certainly had a rough time over the last few years.

InMe looked set to take the world by storm with their debut album 'Overgrown Eden', which by all accounts was a fantastic album. Sadly things just went from bad to worse. For whatever reason they were dropped by their label, which left them in a void of not being able to do anything.

They decided to fund the second album themselves and take complete control of everything, even down to the artwork. Sadly the time taken between albums was too long and so a few fans moved on to other groups.

However whilst glancing round the venue just as they arrived onstage, it looked like they were on the verge of becoming even more popular than ever before. Dave (Vocalist/Guitar), Joe (Bass) and Simon (Drums), seem to be one of those rare groups that prefer to play as many of their songs as possible in the allocated time slot rather than talk to the audience. This worked fine, and it gave the crowd a chance to hear new and old songs such as 'White Butterfly', '7 Weeks', and 'Firefly'.

Joe and Dave were pouring in sweat after a couple of tracks, due to the amount of energy they put in to their show. Sure, InMe are without a doubt passionate about what they do, and with the right promotion, it won't be very long before they are back on top!

A fantastic, sweaty, intimate gig with faultless music, worth every penny!
