seen em for first time at lemon grove last thursday and wasnt sure what to expect. have to say they were brilliant ,lead singer richard archer was an able front man and looked like he was spitting venom on some trax, great performance all round.

  4. but that forum just says venues ,so how would people know to put where they stayed after gig. maybe if it became venues and accomadation for e.g cheers cidy
  5. hi neil how about a sticky for accomodation suggestions. seen as public transport rubbish for gigs nowadays a lot of people forced to shell out for a nights accomodation so would be helpful if people could list where they stayed after a gig hotel, b+b etc. a couple of reccomendations from me are the thistle hotel in birmingham ,about a 15 min walk to the acadamy. the grantly hotel shepherd bush london ,right opposite the empire ,also loads of takeaways handy for ya after gig munchies both fairly priced imho ,worked out at 35 quid each for a twin room if my memorys correct. cidy

    THE POGUES

well just recovered from birmingham gig,and gotta say it was brilliant. shane was on top form ,the band sounded great. they played all the hits and seemed to really enjoy playing live together again. shane looked liked he lost a bit of weight from last time he was on tv. went down the front and the atmosphere was amazing. as for the acadamey that was my first time there and thought venue was fine. roll on march 17th shepherds bush empire ,he`ll be back with the popes then ,but still a great nite out. just wish he`d release some new material cidy

    Faithless

i read on ch4 teletext a while back that they would play glasto, the gigs in december will be they`re last as a tour, but glasto will be they`re final gig, lets hope that report is correct . Faithless are also very likely to play, having turned down the chance to play in 2004 as they want to play Glastonbury as the close to the tour for their current album. cidy
