The Refectory, is the main canteen during the day but is converted into one of Leeds's largest venues for evening gigs, having a 2100 person capacity for live events.Many famous bands have played at the University Refectory, including The Who (who recorded Live at Leeds there originally in 1970, and returned in June 2006 to recreate the original show), Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin to name a few.
