Sum 41 will headline the Kerrang! Tour 2016

tickets will go on sale on Monday

news: Wednesday 30th September 2015

Kerrang! have announced the highly anticipated return of Sum 41, who will headline the Kerrang! Tour 2016.

Sum 41 were forced to cancel their headline slot on the tour back in 2012 when frontman Deryck Whibley injured his back. Next year the band bring their pop-punk anthems to UK venues in February 2016 on tour.

2016 will be Sum 41's 20th anniversary as a band, so what better way to celebrate with a UK tour and new music! The band have set up PledgeMusic campaign to make what has been described as their ‘best music yet', easily sitting alongside classic anthems like the aforementioned 'In Too Deep', 'Motivation', 'Still Waiting' and 'Fat Lip'. See Pledgemusic.com/projects/sum41 for more information.

Frontman Deryck Whibley said, "We're really excited to be back on tour. After a three-year break, we're honoured that our first tour back is the Kerrang! Tour 2016 in the UK. We've been locked away in the studio making the new Sum 41 record, which we will be out later in the year [2016].”

The rest of next year's line-up has not yet been announced.

The Kerrang! Tour 2016 featuring Sum 41 tour dates are:

10 February The Academy, Dublin
11 February University Great Hall, Cardiff
12 February The Institute, Birmingham
13 February O2 ABC, Glasgow
15 February Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne
16 February The Nick Rayns LCR, University of East Anglia, Norwich
18 February Albert Hall, Manchester
19 February Forum, London

Tickets for the tour are priced at £18.50 (London £20) and go on sale at 9am on Monday 5th October 2015.
