tickets will go on sale on Friday

news: Tuesday 8th January 2013

Bearded Texans ZZ Top have announced they will be heading to the UK this year to play two shows in June.

ZZ Top have been together for 43 years and never once has their line-up changed, they are one of the only bands with a career span of this length to be able to lay claim to this distinction. In the 80s they had a string of hits, including 'Gimme All Your Lovin', 'Sharp Dressed Man', and 'Legs' from their 1983 album, 'Eliminator', which remains the group's most commercially successful record, selling over 10 million units.

The band consisting of guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbons, bassist and co-lead vocalist Dusty Hill, and non-bearded drummer Frank Beard released their 15th studio album, 'La Futura', in September 2012 via American Recordings. The album, produced by Rick Rubin, was the band's first studio offering in 9 years.

The trio's announced UK live dates are as follows:

Mon 24 June Hammersmith Apollo, London
Tue 25 June O2 Apollo, Manchester

Tickets for these shows will go on sale 9am on Friday 11th January 2013 priced at £45, and eGigs will have links to buy them then.
