tickets will go on sale this Friday

news: Tuesday 6th July 2010

Fresh off the back of a well deserved Ivor Novello nomination for his work with his cricket-crazy side project, 'The Duckworth Lewis Method', The Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon has announced an extensive UK tour in November.

Neil Hannon goes back to his Divine Comedy roots with 'Bang Goes the Knighthood' his tenth studio album. For the November dates he will perform songs from his new album during an intimate solo show.

"I did a short tour about a month ago, just Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, London, and Paris," Hannon said. "They all went very well. I'm doing all my shows on this album one man and a piano. It seemed like the best way to play it."

Hannon is sure to showcase his upbeat new single 'I Like' released on Monday 1st August on his own Divine Comedy Records, alongside 'At The Indie Disco' alongside the likes of 'When A Man Cries' and 'The Complete Banker'.

The Divine Comedy (solo) play the following dates:

Mon 01 November The Sage, Gateshead
Tue 02 November The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen
Wed 03 November Oran Mor, Glasgow
Fri 05 November Reading Concert Hall, Reading
Sat 06 November Anson Rooms, Bristol
Mon 08 November The Gate Arts Centre, Cardiff

Fri 12 November West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge
